ROSCon Global 2026: A record-breaking event

In the spirit of open source, ROSCon Global truly is a community gathering. It’s a fantastic event, with new and old friends assembling from around the globe, sharing treats from their home countries, and learning about the latest developments in open source robotics.

ROSCon Global 2026 took place recently in Toronto, and the numbers speak for themselves: it was our largest ROSCon Global ever. The event hosted 1000+ attendees (nearly half of them also workshop attendees), representing 40+ countries, 325+ companies, and 45+ universities. Impressively, more than 300 of those attendees hailed from Canada (and from nearly 150 Canadian organizations), showing just how strong the Canadian robotics ecosystem has grown. On top of that, the event also featured 58 sponsors and 46 exhibitors in a bustling sold-out expo hall, and more than 2000 viewers on the livestream.

This year’s ROSCon Global wasn’t only the place to be, it was the place to share big news for the robotics industry. Among the ROSCon-adjacent announcements are:

None of this would have been possible without the open source robotics community. You came together and made this the event that it was: a worldwide gathering of people who care deeply about open source, robotics, and their intersections. Thank you so much.

We especially want to thank the team at MeetGreen for their continued and tireless work to make ROSCon Global the event that it is. We’ve worked with them for more than 10 years; they’re more than event organizers, they’re family. Team, we couldn’t do this without you. Thank you.

ROSCon Global follows a three year cycle around the globe: Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific. This means that next year the event lands in Europe, and this time we’re very excited to bring the community together in beautiful Kraków, Poland! We’ll be there October 12-14, 2027, at ICE, the Kraków Congress Centre. It’s a beautiful venue in the middle of a stunning city, and we can hardly wait to see you there.
