Little by little, things are starting to get back to normal here at Open Robotics and within the robotics industry. Another sign of normalcy is the return of events. With that in mind, just a quick post to let you know about two upcoming events that you might find worthwhile.

First up is r/Robotics Showcase. This inaugural event is for individuals of all ages and abilities to share and discuss their passion for robotics.

It runs from July 31 to August 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Our own Brian Gerkey is taking on the opening keynote at 10:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, July 31. More information and the full schedule is here

The primary purpose of this event is to showcase the multitude of projects underway in the r/robotics reddit community. Topics range across all focuses of robotics, such as simulation, navigation, control, perception, and mechatronic design.

Next month will find Brian Gerkey in-person at the Informa Markets – Engineering West event on August 10. The event in Anaheim encompasses the renamed Design.Engineer.Build Conference, and CannPak Conference. Brian will be a panelist at 1:15-2:15 p.m. PST on the topic of “Interoperability to Increase Robot Adoption.”

More information about the event is here.
